GrayHamfest® Association

The GrayHamfest® Association is established as a non-profit organization, registered with the State of Tennessee.  While committee members may belong to area Amateur Radio Clubs, the GrayHamfest® Association itself has no affiliation with any radio club.

Our success is dependent on you, the regional Ham community, to attend, to patronize exhibitors and tailgaters, and to recommend the GrayHamfest® to other Hams you encounter in the months ahead.  Thank you for your continued support and we hope to see you in 2008.

GrayHamfest® Committee

The GrayHamfest® Association Committee is currently fourteen members strong.  Committee members are not eligible for GrayHamfest® prize drawings.cAll committee members are non-paid volunteers, drawing no wages for the time invested in making each GrayHamfest® more successful than the last.

GrayHamfest® and Emily Bishop (WE4MB)

ARRL Home Page

Johnson City Press' Staff Writer Rex Barber was in attendance at the 2007 hamfest and filed this article in the Sunday paper.   For those that may have missed it, click on the thumbnail picture at the right.

Featured in the article was 12 year old Emily Bishop (WE4MB), ARRL Assistant Section Manager (Tennessee) for Youth.    Emily was invited to provide a seminar for the youth.    She and her father had hats and other handouts for the younger members in attendance to encourage the hobby for a new generation.   Emily earned her Amateur Extra class license when she was 10 years old.

Also featured in the article was Nancy Williams, an author and Ham herself.    She had her latest novel available for sale and autographing at the hamfest.
